Ross has been living in Virginia Beach since 2009, immediately following his graduation from the College of William and Mary. He is from a small town in upstate New York. His love of history and politics brought him to Virginia. After interning for state Senators Stolle and Norment during college, Ross spent a summer in Washington working with Aristotle’s PAC Outsourcing Department. Subsequently he worked for Senator Jeff McWaters’ first campaign and served as his Legislative Aide and Campaign Manager. In May of 2012, he left the Senator’s office and became a Government Relations Manager with Kemper Consulting. Kemper is a full-service government relations firm based in Norfolk, VA. They specialize in providing constant and individualized attention to their many public and private sector clients.
Ross’ first experience with special needs charities came at a young age, performing with numerous individuals with physical and mental disabilities for charity concerts at the historic Bardavon Opera House in Poughkeepsie, NY. He brings years of database and financial experience to the Promise Places Board.
In addition to the Promise Places, Ross serves as an Assistant Commissioner on the Board of the Blue Ridge Hockey Conference, a class representative on the William and Mary Young Guarde Council, the Chairman of the Virginia Beach Young Republicans, and Treasurer of the Young Republican Federation of Virginia. He lives at the Oceanfront with his Chia-Pet Barack.
